How does oil cleansing work, and will it suit my skin?

You massage it in, then remove it with a warm, damp cloth. Because it does not strip, it suits most skin types, including dry, sensitive and breakout-prone skin.

Black seed oil (Nigella sativa) is a traditional skincare ingredient prized for its naturally soothing, comforting qualities. At 30%, this cleanser uses a generous amount in a nourishing, barrier-supporting base, part of why it suits skin that feels stressed or easily irritated.

Is it suitable for sensitive or reactive skin?

Yes, it is formulated to be gentle, without synthetic fragrance, propylene glycol or harsh surfactants, which are common triggers for reactive skin. As with any new product, patch test first if your skin is extremely reactive, and see how it feels before using it daily.

Can I use it to remove makeup and sunscreen?

Yes, oil cleansing is one of the most effective ways to remove makeup and SPF, including water-resistant formulas, without scrubbing or stripping. Massage one pump into dry skin, then remove with a warm, damp cloth.

How often should I use the Black Seed & Kunzea Oil Cleanser?

It is gentle enough for daily use, once or twice a day, or simply as needed for makeup removal. Many people use it as the first step in an evening routine to cleanse away the day.

Does it contain fragrance?

No synthetic fragrance. The natural aroma comes only from the black seed and kunzea oils themselves. There is no added synthetic scent, and no synthetic preservatives, propylene glycol, parabens or phthalates.

Nigella sativa, organic cold pressed oil This oil has a powerful medicinal smell. Used as a traditional medicine for thousands of years. In modern skincare, it's prized for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties used to help put out the fire smouldering in stressed and sensitive skin. Reduces levels of inflammation-causing bacteria on the skin, allowing stressed and damaged skin to recover faster. Useful for acne, rosacea and dermatitis as well as dry and sensitive skin.

Squalane, Sourced from olives, NOT shark livers. Squalane is the most effective skin moisturiser you've never heard of. Extremely safe for even the most sensitive and reactive skin. Suitable for both dry & acne-prone skin. Moisturises & hydrates to restore a healthy skin barrier. Identical to lipids found in your skin which decline with age. Leaves your skin feeling wonderfully smooth and hydrated. Although it's an oil, it feels really light and non-greasy. It's safe for all skin types.

Kunzea ambigua Kunzea is an Australian oil from Tasmania. It has a fresh and earthy aroma often described as smelling like the Australian bush after a rain storm. Kunzea is both purifying and calming to skin. Used in aromatherapy to assist with releasing stress and diffusing tension. Kunzea helps to encourage deep breathing .
