You can always start lower and work up, and there is no benefit in starting stronger than your skin is ready for.

What is the difference between the plain and bakuchiol vitamin C serums?

The bakuchiol versions add a plant-based retinol alternative to the vitamin C, for people who want a retinol-style step for the appearance of fine lines and firmness without retinol's irritation. If you just want antioxidant vitamin C, choose the plain version; if you want to add a gentle retinol alternative, choose the bakuchiol pairing.

Why are your vitamin C serums oil-based?

We use tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate (THD), an oil-soluble form of vitamin C, in an olive squalane base. Oil-based vitamin C is more stable than water-based L-ascorbic acid, which oxidises quickly, is gentler on sensitive skin, and does not need preservatives because there is no water.

Can I use vitamin C serum with sunscreen?

Yes, they work well together. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that helps neutralise the free radicals generated by UV, so it complements your SPF. It is not a sunscreen itself, so use it alongside your sunscreen, not instead of it.

Do the vitamin C serums need to be refrigerated?

They do not require it, but storing them somewhere cool and out of direct sunlight helps preserve the vitamin C. The stable THD form and amber glass are designed to keep them fresh.
